омг, у меня буквально "эврика" случилась когда я это прочёл. Действительно, self-awareness. Вот я давно понял что для меня в людях важны искренность и что-то ещё, что имеет отношение к застенчивости/скромности, но не совсем это. Self-awareness переводится как самосознание, но на русском это слово значит скорее психологический феномен, я как-то не додумывался смотреть на это как на характеристику личности. Действительно, разные уровни self-awareness многое объясняют, и застенчивость (хотя не в одиночку), и многое другое.

p.s. и в википедии кстати очень удачно замечено что self-awareness по всей видимости опирается на механизм зеркальных нейронов, который так важен для эмпатии. Если этот механизм хорошо развит, видимо высокой будут и эмпатия, и self-awareness.

Для меня тоже в людях очень важна искренность, самое важное для меня качество, когда человек открыт и сам собой, а не играет какую то роль.

Я бы даже сказала, что самоОсознание, во всяком случае для меня это так.

Для меня эта характеристика личности важна, поскольку сама давно занимаюсь познание и осознанием себя и знаю, что существует много уровней. Человек может осознавать очень многое, да хотя бы свое состояние, для того, чтобы принимать решения. Многие люди существуют на реакциях. Наблюдать за реакциями тоже интересно, поскольку в очень стрессовых ситуациях человеком управляет подзоднание - а значит реакции. Чем выше уровень осознания человека, тем больше шансов у него осознавать происходящее и действовать, принимая решения, вместо просто реагирования (надеюсь это понятно).
Но в этом шоу, как и во многих других, слишком высок уровень стресса, а потому самоосознание может быть не таким высоким.
од этим понимает Шарлин, знаю только, что не то, что я.

Для меня самоОсознание - чисто духовное понятие и никак не связано с телом. Это как в буддизме, если отделить себя от тела, то можно наблюдать за собой как бы со стороны, отмечая разные состояния и изменения в ощущениях тела. Но способность осознавать себя заключается именно в этом.

<center></center>Now that all the hullabaloo of The Bachelor is over, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff, who got engaged on the ABC hit's Monday finale, are ready to start a "normal" life.
Well ... sort of. For the time being, as Prince Farming prepares to tango and rumba across the Dancing with the Stars stage, the happy couple are bunking up – together! – in Los Angeles.
"I'm excited!" Bischoff tells PEOPLE. "One of the hardest things of all of this was being separated, so it will be nice to be together finally."
As for the million-dollar question about her career as a fertility nurse? "I've switched roles a little bit," Bischoff, 29, explains. "It offers me a lot of flexibility so I can work from anywhere."
Even from Soules's tiny hometown of Arlington, Iowa? "I have no plans to quit my job," says Bischoff. "We're just taking it step by step!"

если я не ошибаюсь, self-awareness от присутствия камер только повышается. Т.е. к примеру скромные люди становятся ещё "скромнее", уходят в себя.
